StarEcho respects and protects the personal privacy of all users of its services. In order to provide you with more accurate and personalized services, StarEcho will use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy. However, StarEcho will treat this information with a high level of diligence and discretion. Unless permitted by you in advance or as otherwise specified in this Privacy Policy, StarEcho will not disclose or provide this information to third parties. StarEcho may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. By agreeing to the StarEcho Terms of Service, you are deemed to have agreed to the entire contents of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is an integral part of the StarEcho Terms of Service and cannot be separated.

Scope

1. Personal registration information provided by you when registering a StarEcho account as required by StarEcho;
2. Information automatically received and recorded by StarEcho from your browser and computer when you use StarEcho web services or access StarEcho platform web pages, including but not limited to IP address, browser type, language used, access date and time, software and hardware features, and web page records you request;
3. User personal data obtained by StarEcho from business partners through legal means.

The following information is not applicable to this Privacy Policy:

1. Keyword information entered by you when using the search service provided by StarEcho platform;
2. Information collected by StarEcho regarding your postings on StarEcho, including but not limited to participation in activities, transaction information, and evaluation details;
3. Violations of laws or StarEcho rules and measures taken by StarEcho against you.

Information Use

1. StarEcho will not provide, sell, rent, share, or trade your personal information to any unrelated third party, unless you have granted permission in advance, or that third party and StarEcho (including StarEcho affiliates) individually or jointly provide services to you, and after the service ends, they will be prohibited from accessing all such information they could previously access.
2. StarEcho does not allow any third party to collect, edit, sell, or disseminate your personal information by any means. If any StarEcho platform user engages in the aforementioned activities, once discovered, StarEcho has the right to immediately terminate the service agreement with that user.
3. For the purpose of serving users, StarEcho may use your personal information to provide you with information that you are interested in, including but not limited to sending you product and service information or sharing information with StarEcho partners so that they can send you information about their products and services (the latter requires your prior consent).

Information Disclosure

StarEcho will fully or partially disclose your personal information in accordance with your personal wishes or legal requirements under the following circumstances:

1. Disclosure with your prior consent to a third party;
2. Sharing your personal information with a third party that is necessary to provide the products and services you requested;
3. Disclosure to third parties or administrative or judicial authorities in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law or the requirements of administrative or judicial authorities;
4. Disclosure to a third party when you have violated relevant laws, regulations, or the StarEcho Terms of Service or rules;
5. Disclosure to the complained party as requested by an eligible intellectual property complainant and to facilitate the resolution of possible rights disputes between the parties;
6. In a transaction created on the StarEcho platform, if any party to the transaction has fulfilled or partially fulfilled their obligations and has requested information disclosure, StarEcho has the right to decide to provide the necessary information, such as the contact information of the other party to the transaction, to facilitate the completion of the transaction or the resolution of the dispute;
7. Other disclosures deemed appropriate by StarEcho in accordance with laws, regulations, or website policies.

Information Storage and Exchange

The information and data collected by StarEcho about you will be stored on servers owned by StarEcho and its affiliates. This information and data may be transmitted to and accessed, stored, and displayed in countries or regions where you are located or where StarEcho collects information and data.

Use of Cookies

1. Without your refusal to accept cookies, StarEcho will set or access cookies on your computer so that you can log in or use StarEcho platform services or features that rely on cookies. The use of cookies by StarEcho enables us to provide you with more thoughtful personalized services, including promotional services.
2. You have the right to choose whether to accept or refuse cookies. You can reject cookies by modifying your browser settings. However, if you choose to reject cookies, you may not be able to log in or use StarEcho web services or features that rely on cookies.
3. The relevant information obtained through the cookies set by StarEcho is subject to this policy.

Security Verification Services

1. To prevent automated abuse, registration, login, and certain sensitive operations may use Cloudflare Turnstile, Alibaba Cloud Captcha, or a local StarEcho challenge in that order. StarEcho switches to the next method only when the current verification service cannot load or is unavailable.
2. When a third-party CAPTCHA is used, its provider may process the IP address, browser and device information, interaction data, and verification result required to complete the verification. That processing is also governed by the provider's privacy policy.
3. The local challenge stores only hashes of the request context and an irreversible verification value for the answer in a short-lived session. It does not store the plaintext answer. Each session can be used only once and is removed after expiration.

Account Use and Platform Governance

1. A personal StarEcho account may be used only by the person who registered it. Users must not sell, purchase, rent, lend, gift, transfer, or otherwise trade an account, its login credentials, or control of the account. Account transactions must not be used to circumvent identity verification, security measures, or platform rules.
2. Users are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials and for activity conducted through their accounts. If an account is compromised, credentials are exposed, or unauthorized access is suspected, the user should promptly change the affected credentials and contact StarEcho.
3. Where there is reasonable evidence that a user has violated applicable laws, the Terms of Service, or platform rules; infringed the lawful rights of others; abused platform features; or created a security risk to the platform or other users, StarEcho may take measures necessary and proportionate to the nature, severity, and impact of the conduct. These measures may include warnings, feature restrictions, revocation of login sessions, service suspension, account freezing, account bans or termination, and lawful action against related violating content.
4. Where permitted by law and where doing so would not interfere with risk mitigation, StarEcho will inform the affected user of the measures taken. Users may challenge a decision through StarEcho customer support. StarEcho may act before providing notice when necessary to address an urgent security risk, fraud, or continuing violation.
5. When investigating violations or enforcing account measures, StarEcho will process relevant personal information only to the extent necessary and will protect it in accordance with applicable laws and this Privacy Policy.

Information Security

1. StarEcho accounts have security protection functions. Please keep your username and password information safe. StarEcho will take security measures such as encrypting user passwords to ensure the security of your information and prevent loss, misuse, and alteration. However, please be aware that "perfect security measures" do not exist on the internet.
2. When conducting online transactions using StarEcho web services, you inevitably need to disclose your personal information, such as contact information or postal address, to the counterparty or potential counterparty. Please protect your personal information and only provide it to others when necessary. If you discover that your personal information, especially your StarEcho username and password, has been leaked, please immediately contact StarEcho customer service so that appropriate measures can be taken by StarEcho.

Updates to this Privacy Policy

StarEcho may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and identifies the current effective policy by a version number and update date. After the policy version changes, signed-in users must review and confirm the latest version when they next visit the StarEcho website. StarEcho records the policy version accepted by the user and the time of confirmation. By agreeing to the StarEcho Terms of Service, you are deemed to have agreed to the Privacy Policy presented at that time. This Privacy Policy is an integral part of the StarEcho Terms of Service and cannot be separated.
